Join our Facebook group, where we talk about the latest activities and urgent appeals as well as share uplifting stories from Hoylake and other areas where communities are supporting asylum seekers and refugees. Please note , the Facebook group is limited to people who are supportive our aim to share accurate information, host inclusive events, and give people from Hoylake and Wirral a safe way to support those fleeing danger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Volunteer your time and expertise<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    There are numerous simple and practical ways to get involved and support individuals seeking safety. You can offer conversation in English, play games like chess, dominoes, cards, or backgammon, or spend time helping people feel welcome. Volunteers are always needed to help sort and distribute donations, assist with form-filling and paperwork, or support interview preparation, CV writing or simply befriending. Others share skills through career mentoring, teaching, or translation, accompany people to appointments, or lend professional expertise in areas like law, health, IT, or communications. Volunteers to run social events, conversation clubs, music sessions, etc. Whether it\u2019s offering your time, skills, or friendship, every act of kindness helps asylum seekers and refugees feel valued and part of the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Donations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The latest requirements and locations for drop-offs can be found by joining the Facebook group, or by contacting email: donations@hoylake4all.<\/mark><\/strong> That said, there is a more or less constant need for warm coats, shoes, skinny jeans, sports clothes\/leisure wear, and shoes, especially trainers. Medium and small sizes are mostly needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Unlocked smartphones, power adaptors, bikes, stationery, toiletries, and bags are also in demand. Hoylake residents have already donated a variety of musical instruments and a band is forming!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
